Området ble kolonisert av Frankrike i 1890, da de beseiret mossi-folket. Deretter ble det i første omgang administrert som en del av Elfenbenskysten, inntil det i 1919 ble skilt ut som en separat koloni. Denne status ble sen opphevet, men i 1947 ble det igjen en separat koloni, og på dette tidspunktet under navnet Øvre Volta.
Landet ble selvstyrende i 1958 og helt selvstendig i 1960. Det første av flere militærkupp fant sted i 1966. I 1978 fikk landet igjen sivilt styre, som varte inntil 1980. Da ledet Saye Zerbo et nytt militærkupp, hvoretter han satt på makten til det neste kuppet i 1982. I 1983 sto blant annet den nåværende presidenten, Blaise Compaoré, bak et kupp ledet av Thomas Sankara, det var kaptein i hæren. 15. oktober 1987 ble Sankara myrdet i et kupp ledet av Blaise Compaoré.

Førerett i klasse D1 gjelder for førerett i klasse B og for motorvogn for persontransport, som har flere enn 8, men maksimalt 16 passasjerplasser i tillegg til førerplassen og tilhenger med tillatt totalvekt på høyst 750 kg. Det ble mer og mer vanlig at sønn etterfulgte faren, og det ble mindre vanlig med delt autoritet innen et føderalt system.

Det ble antatt at Mossadegh ville erklære en republikk, men noen få dager senere returnerte sjahen og tvang igjen Mossadegh fra embetet 19. Det ble avgjort at disse AU-troppene, fra både Nigeria og Rwanda, ville bli utplassert innen 30. Because of this little miracle of modern technology, I no longer a slave to the content, temporal, or geographic constraints of traditional radio. I can download my favorite progrs, on topics of great interest to me (read that as “absolutely free of celebrity drivel, political horserace coverage, or sporting event results”) and listen to them when I want to, not simply when they are broadcast in my area. Even more than that, I can download progrs not even broadcast in the United States and play them back at my leisure. In fact, I’m doing it right now.

to iron this all out: Kerry supposedly really did (uh huh) believe Saddam had WMD, and his real desire was to have the UN be the decider of what the US should do in response (surprise!), but because of politics and not wanting to be seen as weak, he voted in favor of the Iraq war resolution.

Will provided the reality of who is really making a ton of money off of every gallon of gas you purchase. “While oil companies make about 13 cents on a gallon of gasoline, the federal government makes 18.4 cents (the federal tax)…” When you add in the tax imposed by States, you discover that California, for example, makes 40.2 cents on that same gallon of gas, and San Francisco collects a local sales tax of 8.5 cents. In Wisconsin, the State law requires retailers to sell gasoline for 9.18 percent above the wholesale price.
Federal, state and local communities extract more from your wallet than Big Oil every time you top off your car’s gas tank.
It’s not that Big Oil isn’t making billions, but they are also spending billions to insure that you can have gasoline for your car and oil to heat your home, plus all the other products that are derived from oil. And Big Oil is faced with a world of problems in the process. As Business Week recently noted, “Much of the global oil patch is now off-limits.”
In case you haven’t noticed, Hugo Chavez, Venezuela’s dictator, intends to take over the assets of the oil companies that have invested billions in that nation. In Nigeria, the oil industry is under attack from various factions. Iraq, now free of Saddam Hussein’s butchery, has yet to have met a reasonable standard of productivity. Iran has announced a rise in the price of gasoline because it too lacks refinery capacity. Other areas of the world, such as deepwater wells, require enormous sums of money to explore, drill, extract and transport oil.

So, you may be a bit more inclined to cut Big Oil a bit of slack. I think about that every time I fill up my car’s tank.
The average person would probably think that methamphetamine is a relatively new drug that appeared suddenly overnight. Actually, methamphetamine has been around since the early 1900’s and has had a quiet growing affect on the population as it rapidly spreads across the physical and socio-economic boundaries of America. Also know as meth, crystal, crank and speed, it is the backbone of Ritalin and the “club drugs” ecstasy, eve and cat. With the widespread sharing of recipes for manufacture over the internet, meth has an increasing grip on American culture.
