Think with me for a moment about the flipside of the home again question. When we moved to Uganda we went there for the long haul. We purposed to set down strong roots quickly and to make a home for ourselves and to enjoy the good things about our life there. It was really tough at first, but eventually we did find ourselves becoming really happy in Kampala. We made friends, had a regular routine type of daily life, and saw a future for ourselves. We cried a lot when it came time to go. Although our time in Uganda had been shorter than expected we had really begun to live a full life there. So my quandry is this: if I answer that yes, it is good to be home in the states am I thIf you need big money or small money, this is just the place where you can get the greatest advices. The first advice regarding this loan business would be not to get a smslån. So take care and spend your money well.erefore saying that it wasn’t equally good to be in Kampala?
Basically, 13 Middle Eastern men were traveling together as a musical group, 12 carrying Syrian passports and one, a lawful permanent resident of the US of Lebanese descent. They purchased one-way tickets from Detroit to Los Angeles with widely dispersed seating. 6 of the men arrived at the gate together boarding began, then split up and acted as if they were not acquainted. Air marshals report that the men seemed “sweaty and nervous.” During the flight, several of the men changed seats, congregated in the aisles, and arose when the fasten seat belt sign was turned on; Word of the day: lotusland\\LOH-tus-land\ noun: *1 : a place inducing contentment especially through offering an idyllic living situation. 2 : a state or an ideal marked by contentment often achieved through self-indulgence.

While Bristol, or any of the Tri-Cities could even be thought of as any minute form of a lotusland, it was however written up in this morning’s edition of The Washington Post newspaper. Here’s the link:one passenger moved quickly up the aisle toward the cockpit and, at the last moment, entered the first class restroom. He remained inside for about 20 minutes. Several of the men spent “excessive” time in the restrooms. Another man carried a large McDonald’s restaurant bag into a restroom and made a thumbs-up signal to another man upon returning to his seat.
Due to the kind of migratory life we will live working with this branch of the government, I will face this question and the complexities of how to define these simple terms over and over again. I know I’m not alone in this however because (of course) there have been countless books written on the subject.
Over the past several months we have lived in a variety of homes and it has been a joy to be together in all of them. We have learned to make a home no matter what the address may be. We are however very much looking forward to getting more settled into our current home which I have now found out is in zip code area 22302…Alexandria, Virginia.

to iron this all out: Kerry supposedly really did (uh huh) believe Saddam had WMD, and his real desire was to have the UN be the decider of what the US should do in response (surprise!), but because of politics and not wanting to be seen as weak, he voted in favor of the Iraq war resolution.
James Taranto called Kerry’s move back in September 2003.
Democrats: Playing politics with the war then. Playing politics with the war now.
Will provided the reality of who is really making a ton of money off of every gallon of gas you purchase. “While oil companies make about 13 cents on a gallon of gasoline, the federal government makes 18.4 cents (the federal tax)…” When you add in the tax imposed by States, you discover that California, for example, makes 40.2 cents on that same gallon of gas, and San Francisco collects a local sales tax of 8.5 cents. In Wisconsin, the State law requires retailers to sell gasoline for 9.18 percent above the wholesale price.
Federal, state and local communities extract more from your wallet than Big Oil every time you top off your car’s gas tank.
It’s not that Big Oil isn’t making billions, but they are also spending billions to insure that you can have gasoline for your car and oil to heat your home, plus all the other products that are derived from oil. And Big Oil is faced with a world of problems in the process. As Business Week recently noted, “Much of the global oil patch is now off-limits.”
In case you haven’t noticed, Hugo Chavez, Venezuela’s dictator, intends to take over the assets of the oil companies that have invested billions in that nation. In Nigeria, the oil industry is under attack from various factions. Iraq, now free of Saddam Hussein’s butchery, has yet to have met a reasonable standard of productivity. Iran has announced a rise in the price of gasoline because it too lacks refinery capacity. Other areas of the world, such as deepwater wells, require enormous sums of money to explore, drill, extract and transport oil.

So, you may be a bit more inclined to cut Big Oil a bit of slack. I think about that every time I fill up my car’s tank.
The average person would probably think that methamphetamine is a relatively new drug that appeared suddenly overnight. Actually, methamphetamine has been around since the early 1900’s and has had a quiet growing affect on the population as it rapidly spreads across the physical and socio-economic boundaries of America. Also know as meth, crystal, crank and speed, it is the backbone of Ritalin and the “club drugs” ecstasy, eve and cat. With the widespread sharing of recipes for manufacture over the internet, meth has an increasing grip on American culture.

This appears to be an extension of the domestic outsourcing trend. Competitive pressures and cost pressures are compelling SMBs to focus on their core competencies and look for external help in non-critical business areas, in this case IT operations,” says Nasscom. Outsourcing of non-production-related IT applications enables a company to not only focus on its main business activity but also achieve cost-savings on IT initiatives to the tune of 30%.

US Regulators Eye Indian BPO Firms
CRM News reports auditors from the U.S. could come down to India to check the BPO companies or even conduct them remotely. Expecting audits from the U.S. comptroller of currency early next year, Indian BPO companies and captive units of multinationals are working overtime, holding discussions with consultants and their US counterparts to understand the nuances of these audits.
“These audits are expected early next year. Not only are they likely to check for regulatory compliance, but also for systems and procedures and risk management and confidentiality clauses being followed. We are following up with our U.S. office to get off the ground,” said Ram Aggarwal, partner, Ernst & Young. E&Y already conducts quality control reviews for several BPO units in India.
Good bosses provide leadership. Bad bosses provide what columnist Dale Dauten, author of the Corporate Curmudgeon, calls “Impedership”–which Dauten defines as “the art of demotivation”–the ability to stifle innovation, stamp out ideas, and discourage success among employees.
In today’s column, Dauten points readers to a brilliant video produced by online training company ej4 that captures all the qualities common to demotivating bosses.
Looking ahead and looking back: a conversation with your future self
Futureme.orgThere comes a point in a mediation when it’s time to ask the hard questions.
It often happens when negotiations are stalled. Although a decent offer is on the table, one thing stands between the parties and settlement. “Principle. It’s the principle of the thing,” they say, as they weigh hope at trial against certainty at the table.
At that point I may ask people to do something that is very difficult to do.
I ask them to think for a moment about the future–to imagine their future selves and to ask themselves, will that decision still be the right one for me then?
Outsourcing Custom Car Design
Channelnewsasia.com reports India’s custom automobile design industry is gaining popularity due to the increasing popularity of companies outsourcing projects.
Custom-car design work has been outsourced to Indian companies like “DC Designs” and “5th Quadrant Designs”, due to far lower costs. Apart from design work, they say they are also capable of taking it a step further, by constructing the car according to the technical specifications of the design. It is a concept that’s seen as a sunrise sector in the burgeoning outsourcing industry.

Offshore Outsourcing Growth
ZDNet reports research firm Gartner published a study Monday saying “offshore outsourcing isn’t as widespread as people think,” with lower-cost locales accounting for less than 3 percent of money spent on global information technology services this year.
Gartner projects that figure to grow but remain a relatively small fraction of total spending. By 2008, spending on IT services delivered through “global sourcing” will reach about 7 percent of a $728 billion total market–or roughly $50 billion.

The 133 rd running of the Kentucky Derby, which is this Saturday at 6pm on NBC, the winner of this year derby will have a much larger fan base by the end of the day. as the new fan base of that horse and jockey, will all hope that the horse and jockey who wins the derby. will also end the long 29 years layoff of a Triple Crown winner.
To win the Triple Crown, a horse has to break threw some major tough obstacle. those obstacles include; three races in a five week span with crowds of over 100,000 plus at all three of the races, those are a pretty good reason why, their have only been 11 winners of the triple crown since 1919 .
The Kentucky Derby, is one of those must watch sporting events, when it is on TV. and it’s even more special to see it in person. If you are the jockey of the winning horse, it’s like winning the Super Bowl or World Series and the same goes for the horse owners as the owners can now make money by just using the horse for breeding and the jockey will be known as a derby winner for life , which will help him attract future clients and maybe a few endorsements deals.
The Derby is also one of those events, in which you can watch it with all your family members or friends; you can also place a friendly wager on a horse that you think might win the race with your family and friends or in some cases you could even throw a derby party. Although the race itself, will last only a couple of minutes, there will be tons of talk the following week, as people will ask themselves can this year Kentucky Derby winner, win it all, be the next Triple Crown.

One physician’s assistant reported that a female patient “died of a blood clot three hours after getting the Gardasil vaccine.” Two other reports, on girls 12 and 19, reported deaths relating to heart problems and/or blood clotting.
As of May 11, 2007, the 1,637 adverse vaccination reactions reported to the FDA via the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System included 371 serious reactions. Of the 42 women who received the vaccine while pregnant, 18 experienced side effects ranging from spontaneous abortion to fetal abnormities….
[M]ore serious side effects reported include paralysis, Bells Palsy, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, and seizures.
“The FDA adverse event reports on the HPV vaccine read like a catalog of horrors,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Any state or local government now beset by Merck’s lobbying campaigns to mandate this HPV vaccine for young girls ought to take a look at these adverse health reports. It looks as if an unproven vaccine with dangerous side effects is being pushed as a miracle drug.”

Then there’s the outdoor tasks:
* remove and burn overgrowth and fallen trees
* clear initial areas for workshop, planting and animals
* build initial pen, coop and hutch
* clear and haul scrap/debris to appropriate locations
Geez- I’m getting tired just thinking about it all. At least there’s some fun “to do” things as well like hanging a tire swing for the goofies, teaching them and Pat how to put a worm on a fishing hook (not quite as fun as live shrimp a la my Florida fishing days), and teaching the goofies the fine art of roasting marshmallows over a fire. Speaking of fires…
The fire pit holds a special purpose. Of course there are the givens of providing warmth, a family gathering point, a means by which to cook and dispose of dead wood and other non-carcinogenic refuse, and keeping the unseen nearby nocturnal critters at bay (mostly ‘possums and huge armadillos). It is a bonfire pit in the truest sense.
During the property’s long period of vacancy much poaching had occured. The area is teeming with all manner of wildlife, especially deer. The trespassing hunters were killing then using chainsaws to remove the creatures’ heads (taken for trophy purposes), stripping them of hides and meat, then leaving the ravaged carcasses for the carrion. Many skeletons have been discovered on the front section of our land.
This wastefulness and utter disregard for the sanctity of these creatures offends me to no end. Yes, deer are meat and I am an unapologetic carnivore. The non-meat byproducts are good for many practical uses. But when one finds skeleton after skeleton, each bearing evidence of a brutal end… It sickens me still. And it breaks my heart every time more bones are found for I know in my gut that the ones responsible took those creatures’ lives for granted. At least in the purity of flames, their spirits are finally liberated.
There are two recently discovered skeletons near the house in need of burning. We haven’t even ventured deeply into our property yet. No telling how many more Pat and I haven’t found. The goofies know that meat comes from animals. They know that the hamburgers on their plates were once an animal that was killed. They know to give thanks for food, especially in an area where probably at least a dozen families don’t get enough to eat on any given day. What they’ve not yet been exposed to are the realities of hunting and farming. Explaining how and why these skeletons came to be is not the way I want them to learn about such matters. I’m hoping that one of our friends can babysit the goofies during the next bonfire.
Here are the three original copies of the VAER death reports, obtained from the Judicial Watch website. Click to see larger view:

Gonzales v. Carhart - Was it really a victory? Partial Birth Abortion
Some in the movement call the Gonzales v. Carhart decision empty, while others call it a victory.
Michael New, a columnist for National Review and an assitant professor at the University of Alabama, wrote an excellent analysis on why the decision was good..
Some excerpts:
Now some critics may correctly point out that this decision by itself may not have a large impact on national abortion trends……Regardless, incremental legislation often serves an important informational purpose. Many people pay little attention to politics and are unaware of the permissive polices the United States has regarding abortion. Many do not know that in many states a minor can obtain an abortion with out her parents’ knowledge. Furthermore, many do not know that a woman can obtain a legal abortion during her ninth month of pregnancy. As such, it is undeniable that the national campaign to end partial-birth abortion gained a considerable amount of publicity and was effective in moving the general public toward a more pro-life direction. (my emphasis)
